Price Guide

Here are just a few examples of rates for a handful of publications for planning purposes.

Rates often vary week to week and depend on the size of your advertisement which makes it impractical to publish a price guide which is fixed.

Normally we will be able to negotiate a rate for you which is below the publication's normal or "ratecard" rate - in many cases it can be substantially lower. We will obtain a confirmed price for you at the time of booking which you can then accept or decline.

Deadlines:

  • Booking deadline: usually two clear working days prior to insert date for most national press titles: i.e. by close of business on Wednesday for Sunday/Monday inserts. Note that space cannot be "reserved" for you and a booking can only be placed upon receipt of payment.
  • Copy deadline: 24 hours later.
  • We do not recommend leaving bookings until the last minute because we cannot guarantee to fulfil your order if we are already busy completing and checking earlier bookings.

Notes:

  1. All rates are subject to VAT and possible fluctuation. E&OE.
  2. The prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling (£).
  3. Our Standard Agency Rate is £60 per hour for any artwork or additional work etc (see Terms of Business for details).
  4. B2B day means the day the business section appears. This is normally the only day you can place business classified advertising.
  5. Ratecard means the standard price normally charged by the publication. We can usually obtain a rate which is lower than this figure.
  6. £/cm means Pounds per Column Centimetre for display advertising (sometimes called "scc" or single column centimetre). For example an advertisement 15 centimetres high which spans 3 columns will be 45 column centimetres (15 x 3). If the rate is £80/cm, the cost of this ad would be £3,600 (45 x 80) + vat.
  7. Min size means the smallest ad which the publication will accept.
  8. £/line means Pounds per Line for lineage advertising. To get an accurate line-count for any given ad it is necessary to submit your wording into our template, since different keyboard characters occupy different widths.
  9. The above circulation figures are approximate, subject to fluctuation and intended to be used as a guide only.
  10. Terms: Payment with order (cleared funds prior to cancellation deadline). For full Terms of Business click here or to download the PDF click here.
