The two areas of expenditure are the creation of the ad itself plus the airtime costs.

1. Creating your Advertisement
It is likely to cost somewhere between £200 to £500 to create an advertisement of from 10 seconds to 1 minute, depending on complexity and choice of actors, normally including a one year usage licence. These figures would increase if you wanted to commission "familiar" voices in the ad.

2. Airtime costs
Every campaign is different and every station's rates are different. Therefore here are a few samples to give you a very rough idea of prices.

It is recommended that in any radio campaign you achieve an OTH of at least 4 per week. This means the average listener to that station will hear the ad an average of 4 times per week. 40-80 slots per week will be needed depending on the chosen station's listening statistics.
